Jim’s Custom Homes, Inc., and its subsidiaries are beginning to phase in some additional new businesses, joint ventures, and services other than custom homes and commercial buildings in the Crowley, Burleson, and Metroplex areas.  We are reaching out to potential customers and establishing business networking to assist the public in locating tried and true businesses that stand behind their products and services.

 

JCHI Safe Rooms - More than just peace of mind.

We have been designing and installing safe-room closets, as an option, in our custom homes for many years.  We decided to market our safe-room closets to the public starting in early May 2011.  We will also install our safe rooms in homes that are constructed by other builders and will convert the closets of existing homes.  We will also remodel existing closets if it is large enough to function as a safe room no matter the size of the house.  We also install safe rooms in commercial buildings to help proect the workers, etc., during bad weather conditions and even if a break-in occurs.  In many cases we will be able to remodel an existing closet and convert it into a safe-room closet the the same features that new safe room closets have.

Our safe rooms are to help protect our residential or commercial customers from the dangers of extreme storms including tornadoes and also will help with protection from burglars and break ins while your loved ones are home. 

We will train our customers concerning accessibility of the safe room.  Note:  In a storm or break-in, our customer MUST get into the safe room to have the built-in safety.  For even better protection and security, there should be an alarm system and, if possible, a home surveillance system.  These three systems will provide exceptional home security for the family 

In reference to tornadoes and straight-line winds, no one can guarantee that a tornado will not cause damage to your home or safe room, but we can say that our safe room design will help protect the occupants from the dangers of tornadoes and extremely high straight-line winds.

These systems will also protect our customers’ businesses and out buildings, and the surveillance systems can be integrated together to allow for monitoring on many levels.  

The wonderful thing about our safe room designs is the versatility of the room itself.  Our safe room functions as an everyday closet, and the other features of the safe room provides peace of mind.  Just knowing that our customers will have a better chance of survival by having our safe room gives all of us at Jim’s Custom Homes, Inc., satisfaction and peace of mind.

Our customers' lives will be protected from the dangers of extremely bad weather.  They will additionally have protection from an unauthorized entrance or break-in by a perpetrator that may be intending to burglarize the home or to cause harm to one’s person and/or family.  Again, it is imperative that our customers make sure that they aren’t caught between some area of the home and the safe room.  The safe room will lose its effectiveness in the case that our customers or visitors cannot, for whatever reason, reach the safe room for protection.  This is why we will take time to remind our customers to be alert and be aware of their surroundings at all times.  With practice, these alert and aware sessions and home training sessions will help our customers stay alert and aware because of regular training.  Being alert and aware of the surroundings will then become second nature to them.
